Wholesale prices for green bell peppers at the Bronisze market have dropped to about €1.6/kg (7 PLN/kg) in mid-June 2026, driven by increasing domestic supply.

At the Bronisze wholesale market near Warsaw, the price for green bell peppers decreased to approximately €1.6/kg (7 PLN/kg) in mid-June 2026. This decline follows a noticeable increase in the availability of domestic green peppers. Market observers report that the higher supply has directly contributed to downward pressure on prices.

No significant disruptions to bell pepper supply have been reported, and deliveries of Polish produce are increasing as the harvest progresses. The influx of local product is now clearly visible in the main wholesale channels, with volumes rising and import peppers becoming less dominant in the green segment.

Demand for green bell peppers remains stable, with buyers taking advantage of the lower prices and improved availability. The current market situation reflects a typical seasonal pattern, where domestic production ramps up in June and displaces imported product, especially from southern Europe and Turkey.

Weather conditions in early June included several periods of cool nights, with temperatures locally falling to around 5°C. However, there are no indications that these conditions have significantly affected the ongoing bell pepper harvest or overall quality.

Recent reports from the EU RASFF system mention continued monitoring of imported peppers, especially from Turkey and third countries, due to concerns about pesticide residues, but no new import restrictions affecting the Polish market have been introduced this week.
