Procurement of tunnel-grown raspberries for processing has started in Poland, with initial farm-gate prices at €2.1–2.4/kg. Early open-field harvests are expected to begin shortly in the Lublin region.

The industrial procurement of raspberries for freezing has commenced, focusing on off-grade fruit from tunnel-grown dessert raspberry plantations. According to operators in the Opole Lubelskie region, farm-gate prices currently range from €2.1 to €2.4/kg (9–10 PLN/kg) for industrial-grade raspberries intended for 'grys' (lower-quality frozen product). Volumes remain low, typically 50–100 kg per farm, as most tunnel growers prioritize high-quality fruit for the fresh market. Some interest is also being reported from growers in the Czerwińsk region, but logistics costs limit viable shipments to larger quantities of several tonnes per order.

The supply of tunnel raspberries is increasing as more producers invest in protected cultivation. However, the main open-field raspberry harvest has not yet started in most regions. The first small batches of field-grown raspberries are expected to be available in the Kraśnik raspberry basin in the coming days, especially from the warmest sites and lighter soils.

Plantations in Poland have faced challenges this season due to a cold spring and local frosts at the end of April and beginning of May. Many open-field raspberry plantations entered the flowering stage in weakened condition, with reports of damaged vascular bundles and uneven shoot development. In tunnel crops, the end of flowering and the beginning of fruit development are now observed, with growers focusing on fruit size and shelf life.

There is stable demand from processors seeking to secure raw material for frozen raspberry contracts, but the current supply is fragmented and limited. The ongoing increase in tunnel production is expected to support availability for both the fresh and industrial markets in the coming weeks.
