Poland: Raspberry Wholesale Prices Rise to €9.4/kg Amid Low Supply

Wholesale raspberry prices in Poland have increased to about €9.4/kg at Bronisze due to limited supply after spring frost damage and recent heavy rains.

At the Bronisze wholesale market near Warsaw, raspberry prices in mid-June 2026 have climbed to approximately €9.4/kg (40 PLN/kg), after temporarily dropping to €7.0/kg (30 PLN/kg) earlier in the week. The price rebound follows heavy rainfall, which disrupted supply and affected fruit quality. Trade sources report continued instability in the raspberry market, with slow increases in domestic availability as the season progresses.

Farm-gate prices for industrial raspberries (second class) in the Lublin region are currently at about €2.1/kg (9 PLN/kg), while extra class raspberries in 3-kg containers reach €2.8/kg (12 PLN/kg). These prices have held steady for the past two weeks as processors secure early ground-harvested fruit, with volume still limited. Small lots of tunnel-grown raspberries destined for freezing (lower-quality 'grys') are also being traded in eastern Poland at €2.1–2.3/kg (9–10 PLN/kg), but supply remains scattered and transport logistics are challenging.

Growers and traders in the Kraśnik and Opole Lubelskie areas report that most plantations suffered significant frost and drought stress in April and May. Field observations suggest expected yields are just 40–50% of the full crop potential, with plant health and shoot development uneven across many sites. Early harvests are now underway, but only on the warmest sites and lighter soils, with larger-scale picking expected within a week.

Demand from processors and fresh market buyers remains firm, with competition for available fruit likely to intensify if supply stays low. The increased share of raspberries from protected tunnel cultivation is noted, but these volumes are relatively minor compared to field production. Weather-related stress, including recent heavy rainfall, continues to impact both harvest logistics and fruit quality across the main growing regions.
