Georgia has increased its imports of avocados and watermelons in the first quarter of 2026.

Georgia imported 683 tonnes of avocados in January-March 2026, valued at $1.7 million (€1.57 million), according to official data. In the same period of 2025, the country imported 512 tonnes worth $1.3 million (€1.20 million). This indicates that avocado imports increased by 33.3% in volume and by 34.2% in value.
