The last shipments of cherries grown by producer ZZ2 in the north of South Africa left the country on Monday. These cherries are in high demand and buyers are willing to pay a premium for them as they are among the few cherries available in the world at this time. This is happening in the month following Canada's cherry season and just before Chile and South Africa's Western Cape begin their cherry harvests.
