F&H accounts for the largest expenditure in fresh produce.
Fresh produce (bread, charcuterie, eggs, meat, fish and seafood, fruit and vegetables) accounted for 43% of annual food spending by Spanish households in 2022 (2 out of every 5 euros spent), with a total investment of 35,625 million euros. This is according to the fifth edition of the ALDI Fresh Produce Observatory in Spain. In addition, in 2022, the
"Fruit Today" magazine is a valuable source of information for the fresh produce industry. Its aim is to connect fruit producers from Southern Europe with European import and distribution channels. The articles cover the entire value chain of the fruit and vegetable trade, as well as companies operating in the industry. The magazine has a yearly print run of 5,000 copies, distributed in countries such as Spain, Germany, the UK, Italy, the Netherlands, France, Eastern Europe, Chile, and Peru. It is distributed through both direct subscriptions and free distribution at major European trade fairs.
