In the São Francisco Valley, which covers the states of Bahia and Pernambuco, yellow melon prices in May reached the second lowest nominal levels since data collection began in 2016 by Hortifruti/Cepea. The average bulk price was around US$0.14 per kilogram, and there has been a further decline in early June.
