Fruit and vegetable price trends as at 16 January

2023-01-17 00:00

After the abnormally hot and rainy weather, the cold weather is playing a decisive role in the fruit and vegetable sector: it is, for example, prompting more colour in tarocco oranges and favouring products suitable for cooking, such as cauliflowers and artichokes. Demand is subdued for clementines, stable prices for mandarins.

Thanks to the agreement with Borsa Merci Telematica Italiana (Bmti) and Italmercati we publish the survey of fruit and vegetable prices at wholesale markets as of 16 January 2023. Below is a summary of the main types of fruit and vegetables on the market. In the downloadable pdf you will find details of the graphs and the surveys on the main Italian markets: Milan, Bologna, Padua and Rome.
