The end of January and beginning of February brought a recovery of beetroot prices in the large wholesalers (by the way, in the small wholesalers price increases in this segment were even more dynamic). Watermelons are undoubtedly one of the symbols of summer. Poland receives most of them in July. Last July, 43.2 thousand tons of this fruit were imported to Poland (3.5 thousand tons less than a year earlier). Italy remains the main summer supplier of watermelons to Poland. read more

Lemon prices in the Polish wholesale market have remained at a very low level since January this year. In the offers of importers, in the wholesale trade on a larger scale, they are most often offered at 3.00-5.50 PLN per kg, depending on the country of origin, packaging and quality. The offer is dominated by fruit from two countries - Turkey and Spain (the former are usually cheaper).

The supply of pears on the Polish market remains relatively high. Or even not "relatively", but simply "high". WAPA estimated, that the stock on January 1 of this year amounted to 26 thousand tons. This is as much as 270 per cent more than a year earlier. read more
