AMI: German fruit imports at lowest level in eight years
Germany imported less fruit last year than at any time in the last eight years. Compared to the previous year alone, there is a shortfall of a good 400,000 t. Despite the decline in import volume, the import value increased. But what were the reasons for this development?
According to preliminary data from the Federal Statistical Office, Germany will have around 5.08 million t of fresh fruit
in 2022.
