According to WAPA data, as of June 1st this year, there were 752 thousand tons of apples in the European Union countries that are members of this organization. In Poland, the largest stocks were of the Golden Delicious variety, with 75 thousand tons (compared to 35 thousand tons the previous year). The decrease in Polish Golden Delicious in May was significant, amounting to 50 thousand tons (compared to 35 thousand tons the previous year). The second position in terms of stock size was held by two varieties with volumes of 35 thousand tons: Idared (down to 20 thousand tons in May from 50 thousand tons the previous year) and Red Jonaprince (down to 20 thousand tons in May from 40 thousand tons the previous year).
