Freshfel Europe warns of impact of reclassification for EU fresh produce imports on EU-GB trade

Under the changes proposed by Defra, common exports such as tomatoes, peppers, apples, pears, grapes or strawberries, which have a total value of 1 million tonnes in 2022, would be classified as medium risk and subject to increased controls and additional bureaucracy, Freshfel Europe said.
