Supply of pineapples continues to be on the shorter side. “The industry in Costa Rica is currently looking at lower yields,” says Sofia Acon of Kapi Kapi Growers. “This is due to multiple factors including adverse weather conditions and higher costs of supplies, which caused a drop in production that started over a year or more ago. Now we’re seeing the results of that.”
