Netherlands: Lower pear harvest expected, apple harvest almost stable

Due to the unstable spring weather (hot/cold/wet/hail), fewer pears are hanging on the trees compared to last year. Most pears have recovered well from the hail in spring. The Conference variety, which accounts for almost 80% of the Dutch pear harvest, is estimated at 258 million.
