New Zealand-based variety development organization, Prevar, will celebrate its 20th anniversary in business this year. Established in 2004, Prevar is a joint venture between New Zealand Apples & Pears, Plant & Food Research (Plant & Food), and Apple and Pear Australia (Apal), aimed at developing and commercializing new apple and pear varieties.
