Red Jonaprince apples - this could be a very good season.

The previous season turned out to be successful for Red Jonaprince apples and for the producers of these fruits in Poland. In any case, Prince enjoyed better demand and higher prices compared to most varieties of dessert apples in the domestic market. In terms of export prices, only Gala surpassed Prince.

It is worth noting that the main factor that determined this was the very good demand for Prince. It more than compensated for the increase in production of this variety in Poland in recent years. Will this demand be sufficient for a price trend similar to last year's?

For now, there are many indications that the 2024/2025 season will be another good one for the Red Jonaprince variety. Although this variety has recently decreased in purchasing prices, this applies to all dessert apples, and it should be noted that despite the price drop, the average price is still higher than in previous years.

It also seems that the relationship between current prices and those from the same period last season will be an important indicator of the market condition for the Red Jonaprince variety. If current prices maintain even a slight advantage in the coming weeks, this will be an important factor for optimism in the winter part of the season. Currently, Red Jonaprince apples size 70+ are being purchased at prices ranging from 1.60-1.80 PLN/kg. This year, there is also a relatively high supply of large-sized apples of this variety, which is a favorable factor for achieving better prices in international trade.
