Rising prices at the apple auction in Italy
Markus Tscholl, who coordinates Asta Frutta Alto Adige, is delighted that the average selling price is higher than in 2022, thanks in part to better quality and larger sizes. The only downside is the two heavy hailstorms that hit Vilpiano (Bolzano) and the surrounding areas in the summer, which damaged a large part of the apple orchards.
