Seasonal winter veg increase in price in the wholesale markets
This weeks UK wholesale prices show a drop of 20% in early season apple prices compared to last week, with late season apples dropping by 11%. Doyenne du Comice pear price increased by4%.
As Christmas gets closer the price of Brussels sprouts went up by 9%, cabbage increased by 4% and Savoy cabbage by 6%. Turnip saw the biggest increase at +24% compared to last week.
