The yield of 18 tonnes of apples per hectare is the lowest since 2017, when frost in April destroyed large parts of the harvest. In April 2024, there were also frosts in North Rhine-Westphalia. Additionally, consistent high rainfall this year has led to fungal infestations and other issues.
