Colombian Hass avocado exports to US “surge”

Shipments of Hass avocados from Colombia to the US have continued to grow, according to industry body Corpohass, particularly driven by the popularity of the fruit in the run-up to the Super Bowl.

Corpohass said that 1,496 tonnes of Colombian Hass avocados had been shipped to the US, a 56 per cent year-over-year increase during the lead up to the Super Bowl.
