Morocco became the largest avocado exporter in Africa in 2025, surpassing Kenya as shipments from East Africa decreased. According to initial data from the FAO Tropical Fruits Market Review, total African avocado exports increased by 16.7% in 2025 to approximately 430,000 tons, with growth mainly driven by North Africa.
