Morocco suffers heavy losses in berries and avocado due to storm Bernard
Morocco's agricultural sector is suffering the effects of the Bernard storm. The hardest hit is the soft fruit sector, which has suffered a "severe blow" following the passage of storm Bernard in the Gharb/Loukkos area in the north of the country. The storm has been "devastating" and farmers are facing "significant damage", with a loss of up to 20 percent of their crop.
