Peru: Avocado exports from the highlands increase by 53 percent
From January to 12 March 2023, the Andean country exported 35,200 tonnes of avocados, a 53% increase over the 23,000 tonnes exported in the same period last year. As agraria.pe reports, with reference to Fernando Cillóniz Benavides, president of the consultancy Inform@cción, the avocados came from the highlands, whose season ends in April.
