Cambodia's Kampot province grows to supply 50% of banana exports
Cambodia's Kampot province has grown in just five years to supply 50% of they country's banana supplies. With about 2 000 tons of bananas exported to mostly China, the province rapidly grew exports in this period.
Producers started with 411 hectares in 2018 and now grow bananas on 1 063 hectares. Last year Cambodia exported 423 168 tons of bananas to China, Vietnam and Japan.
