Costa Rica's banana industry asks European supermarkets not to lower the price in 2024
On December 8, Reefer Trend reported that European supermarkets are requesting a 1.30 euro/box decrease, i.e. -8.00%, in the price of bananas, from 16.30 euro/box to 15.00 euro/box of bananas.
According to the media, supermarkets are claiming that the price should decrease due to a reduction in the cost of shipping and the strengthening of the euro against the US dollar.
