Ecuador has established a new minimum price per box for bananas.

Ecuador's new minimum support price for a box of bananas will be US$7.25 starting from 1 January 2025. This marks an increase of US$0.40 from the price in 2024, as stated by Richard Salazar, the executive director of the Association for the Marketing and Exportation of Bananas of Ecuador (Acorbanec).
