Ecuador: Smaller banana farms most threatened by El Nino
As reported by reefertrends.com, representatives of the Banana Association of El Oro Province (ABO) have called on the government to declare a state of emergency in the sector and enforce the minimum price. El Oro province accounts for about 30 % of Ecuador's banana production, most of which is produced by small farmers.
