A team of engineering students from MVJ College of Engineering in Bengaluru have developed tiles made from banana fibers that are nearly seven times stronger than traditional ceramic tiles. These innovative tiles can withstand up to 7,500 newtons of pressure and have a flexural strength of 52.37 megapascals.
