The Magdalena and La Guajira Banana Growers Association (Asbama) has warned that roadblocks in the municipality of Zona Bananera, one of Colombia’s biggest banana producing regions, have paralyzed exports, generating substantial losses and jeopardizing thousands of jobs in the area.
