Peru seizes 3.4 tons of cocaine in banana export route

Peruvian authorities have reported that over 3,407 kilograms of cocaine were intercepted this week in the northwestern region of Piura. According to the interior ministry, the drugs were meant to be hidden in banana export boxes and sent to Belgium. The seizure took place on Wednesday.
