Robotic arm to automate repetitive and intensive parts of banana processing

The US$2 million programme, run by Hort Innovation and led by QUT in partnership with Future Food Systems, the Advanced Robotics for Manufacturing Hub (ARM) and BNL Industrial Solutions, will use technologies such as computer vision and machine learning to provide the banana industry with a solution to the process known as banana 'de-handing'.
