Bill Montague passes aged 97

Montague has announced the passing of its founder, William (Bill) Montague on 6 February 2024, aged 97.

Bill Montague founded the company in 1948, planting its first orchard in Narre Warren North, Victoria in 1950 and supplying fruit to hospitals in and around Melbourne.

As the business became more successful, Montague acquired orchards and built cold storage facilities.
