Cultivated blueberries from Lower Saxony dominate German cultivation
The blueberry remains by far the most widely cultivated shrub berry species in Lower Saxony. More than 84% of Lower Saxony's shrub berry cultivation area was used to produce these healthy blue fruits. Last year, 9,923 tonnes were harvested on 2,218 hectares, almost 5% more than in 2022.
