Driscoll's loses lawsuit over strawberry patent in the US

A US federal court has ruled in favor of a summary judgement against Driscoll's in a lawsuit filed by a competing strawberry breeder. The lawsuit alleged that Driscoll's had violated the proprietary rights of the Watsonville berry company by using their fruit varieties without permission.
