North Rhine-Westphalia: Lowest strawberry harvest in ten years - asparagus harvest also declining

This year, 13,621 tons of strawberries will be harvested on a total of 1,384 hectares in open fields, and 12,523 tons of strawberries will be harvested under high walk-in protective covers, including greenhouses. Compared to the previous year, the harvest quantity in open fields is 26% lower (2023: 18,401 tons).
