Most of the 13,500 hectares of strawberries in Florida are grown in Hillsborough, Polk, and Manatee counties. For over a decade, Florida farmers have been using the Strawberry Advisory System (SAS) developed by UF/IFAS, which tells them when to spray fungicides to prevent.
