VIC is becoming increasingly international: from the NSB meeting in Australia to the Strawberry Symposium (NASS) in California.
CIV President Mauro Grossi explains: "During the Symposium, our partner Idris Consulting in the person of Prof. Johan Aelterman was the featured CIV speaker in the Genetics and Breeding session with a presentation '40 years of strawberry breeding - 40 years of hydroponic production'. In fact, CIV has been involved in the breeding of strawberry varieties for 40 years.
"Fruit Today" magazine is a valuable source of information for the fresh produce industry. Its aim is to connect fruit producers from Southern Europe with European import and distribution channels. The articles cover the entire value chain of the fruit and vegetable trade, as well as companies operating in the industry. The magazine has a yearly print run of 5,000 copies, distributed in countries such as Spain, Germany, the UK, Italy, the Netherlands, France, Eastern Europe, Chile, and Peru. It is distributed through both direct subscriptions and free distribution at major European trade fairs.
