"Thanks to the early blossoming, this year's harvest is also particularly early," explains Claus Schliecker, chairman of the Fruit Growing Division at the Farmers' Association of Lower Saxony. He is pleased that the fruit growers from the Altes Land are able to provide cherry enthusiasts with cherries right on time for the Day of Fruits on July 1st.
