Lower Saxony: Sweet cherries of the best quality expected
The cherry harvest has been underway in Lower Saxony for a few days. The first fresh produce, mainly from the Alte Land region near Hamburg, is now on sale in shops and at weekly markets. Experts from the Lower Saxony Chamber of Agriculture (LWK) expect medium to good yields of excellent quality.
