The cultivation area of sweet cherries increased by 1.5% in 2024 compared to the previous year. Except for the years 2004, 2010, and 2019, the cultivation area of sweet cherries increases every year. The number of cherry growers (340) has remained roughly the same since 2000. Since the 1990s, cherries have been grown.
