Chile has exported a record 415,398 tons of cherries this season and the most exported varieties in this campaign have been the Lapins and Santina cherries.
According to data from iQonsulting, the country exported 148,939 tons (29 million boxes) of the Lapins variety during the season, i.e. 20% more than in the previous season. This variety accounted for 36% of all cherry exports.
