The season of red- and blackcurrants kicks off in Ukraine
This week Ukrainian farmers have shipped their first relatively large batches of red- and blackcurrants, as reported by EastFruit. Despite rather long and cold spring, the current season started at the same time as last year.
Nevertheless, starting prices for currants are now averagely 23% lower in Ukraine year-over-year in the national currency and vary between UAH 50-70/kg
