Decline in the consumption of fresh fruits and vegetables in households
The per capita consumption of fresh fruits and vegetables continued to decline in 2023, with a 2.7% decrease compared to the previous year in the case of fruits, totaling 78.5 kilograms per person per year.
"Fruit Today" magazine is a valuable source of information for the fresh produce industry. Its aim is to connect fruit producers from Southern Europe with European import and distribution channels. The articles cover the entire value chain of the fruit and vegetable trade, as well as companies operating in the industry. The magazine has a yearly print run of 5,000 copies, distributed in countries such as Spain, Germany, the UK, Italy, the Netherlands, France, Eastern Europe, Chile, and Peru. It is distributed through both direct subscriptions and free distribution at major European trade fairs.
