Inflation, compounded by production problems due to weather conditions, is affecting the drop in fruit and vegetable consumption, which has been consecutive for 17 months. The decrease in the first quarter of 2023, compared to the same period in 2022, is 8%. The same percentage for the increase in the average price instead (+21% over five years).
