Leading figures in the fresh produce industry in North America have informed Fruitnet that Donald Trump's proposal to impose a 25 per cent tariff on all imports from Mexico and Canada could result in a significant decrease in demand for fruits and vegetables, as well as significant disruptions to supply chains.
