Fireblight has spread to Jersey.

The Government of Jersey has acknowledged that fireblight, a disease affecting fruit trees and other plants, is now widespread across the island, making eradication efforts ineffective. After detecting 66 cases in June, authorities have decided to shift their focus from trying to eliminate the disease.
