EastFruit analysts have reported that Moldova is making continued efforts to diversify its apple exports in light of instability in the Russian market. Southeast Asia has now become a key focus for Moldovan apple exports. Following Ukraine's lead, which started exporting fresh apples to Singapore and Malaysia between 2017 and 2019, Moldova has also begun to do the same.
