Annually, the Balkan region exports slightly over 300,000 tonnes of fresh apples, with Serbia accounting for approximately half of that amount. However, this year was characterized by two significant frost events – the first occurred in March, with temperatures dropping to -9°C in Serbia, followed by another frost event in April, where temperatures fell below 0°C.
