Second-lowest apple harvest in Germany in the past ten years

Apples remain the most plentiful fruit harvested in Germany. However, fruit-growing businesses experienced a significantly lower apple harvest in 2024, producing 872,000 tonnes. According to the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), this amounted to 122,900 tonnes or a 12.4% decrease compared to previous years.
