The Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage in Sri Lanka celebrated its 50th anniversary with a fruit feast for its 68 elephants. The animals indulged in pineapples, bananas, melons, and cucumbers, while visitors were served milk rice and traditional sweets. Established in 1975, the orphanage has been successful in its mission.
